Plastic tanks are used to store different types of liquids, chemicals in various forms (granulates, powdery and liquid materials) and aggressive substances, while respecting the chemical resistance values of the materials.
Tanks can not be used to store flammable liquids and liquids containing oxidising agents (e.g. concentrated nitric acid, halogens, etc.).
Tanks can be also used as septic tanks, cesspits, tanks for drinking and non-potable water.
Due to the fact that the material is suitable for the contact with foodstuff, it is also possible to store food products in the tanks.
They are made by welding of the structural elements and plastic plates ( thermoplastics ), suitable for a given medium.
The most used thermoplastics are polypropylene, polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride.
The tanks are made in different sizes, shapes and construction designs.
The most used are tanks of circular, oval and angular shape. Tanks may be also equipped with different technological baffles, covers, industrial gratings, inlets, technical holes for piping connections, risers for a tank entrance, emergency closures, etc.. Tanks of atypical dimensions can be made under a special order.
Tanks are waterproof in terms of STN 75 0905.
